A report following Murray Darling Plan review consultation has revealed a number of key themes.

The 12 week process saw almost 2500 submissions made and forms part of the 2026 Basin Plan Review.

“Across thousands of submissions and conversations, people told us how much the Basin matters to them, their livelihoods, their communities and the health of the rivers they depend on,” Mr McConville said.

The issue of water recovery was one point of particular interest, with submissions raising concerns of the impact on basin communities.

The full report will be revealed prior to the end of the year.
