Founding Kiss Member Ace Frehley Passes Away Aged 74

Paul Daniel “Ace” Frehley, the rock legend and co-founder/lead guitarist of KISS, has died at 74.

His family have released a statement confirming his passing.

“We are completely devastated and heartbroken. In his last moments, we were fortunate enough to have been able to surround him with loving, caring, peaceful words, thoughts, prayers and intentions as he left this earth. We cherish all of his finest memories, his laughter, and celebrate his strengths and kindness that he bestowed upon others. The magnitude of his passing is of epic proportions, and beyond comprehension. Reflecting on all of his incredible life achievements, Ace’s memory will continue to live on forever!”

Kiss belted out hits like “Rock and Roll All Nite” and “Detroit Rock City.” And who could forget their legendary stage shows and signature black-and-white face paint!

Frehley was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.

Frehley’s passing is a monumental loss for rock and roll, and the wider music community. His impact will be felt for a long time to come.
