A Norwegian teenager has again drawn police attention after allegedly taking a public bus for an unauthorised drive, marking the third such incident linked to the same 14‑year‑old within six months. The latest episode reportedly ended when police intercepted the bus after motorists flagged concerns about a very young driver.

Authorities say the bus had travelled a significant distance with no passengers aboard before it was stopped. Reports indicate the vehicle had been taken from the Oslo region and later halted in southern Norway, a journey of roughly 300 kilometres. Police described the situation as serious given the obvious road safety risks involved.

What makes the case unusual is its repetition. The teenager is believed to have carried out two earlier bus thefts, one in late 2025 around Stavanger, where the bus was driven locally for several hours, and another in April 2026 that reportedly crossed into Sweden before police intervention.

In the first known incident, local police were struck by how smoothly the bus was operated and noted that it was returned undamaged. Investigators have declined to explain how the teen managed to access and start the vehicles, though bus operators were asked to review depot security after the initial case.

Because of the driver’s age, the response has focused on child welfare rather than criminal charges. Norwegian police have confirmed that social services are involved and that each incident is being treated with increasing concern due to the potential danger to other road users.
