If you grew up watching The Land Before Time, you might want to dust off those childhood memories because Littlefoot is heading back to our screens.
But before you get too excited, there’s a pretty big catch.
A New Littlefoot Project Is Coming
An independent fan-made animated project featuring the beloved dinosaur is currently in production, with the team working towards a release.
The project is expected to be a roughly 15-minute 3D animated short, bringing Littlefoot back for a brand new adventure.
There’s One Important Catch
This isn’t an official new Land Before Time movie from a major Hollywood studio.
The project is being created independently by fans and is separate from the original film franchise.
The creators are currently working towards a release, although the exact release date hasn’t been locked in.
What About Disney And Pixar?
Here’s where things get a little confusing.
There have also been social media posts and images claiming Disney or Pixar are working on a new Land Before Time movie.
Those claims are not true, with the supposed studio announcements appearing to be fake or AI-generated.
So, while we might not be getting a big-budget Hollywood comeback for Littlefoot just yet, fans could still have a new dinosaur adventure to look forward to.
And honestly… we’re still emotionally recovering from the original. 🥹🦕
