A Ransomware attack brought the GPS giant to its knee’s over the weekend, locking them out if most of the major services.

This Crash does not just affect the hobbyist and the active, with pilots being unable to Garmin ICAO Flight Plans, which are a FAA requirement to fly a plane.

It has been reported that the Hackers have asked for a sum of up to 10 Million dollars to grant Garmin access to their systems and files. Although this number has not be confirmed by Garmin themselves, and have yet to comment or confirm the attack officially.

Good news though, some services are starting to come back online over the past 24 hours, with more expected to come back online in the coming days.
