Who will replace Gary, Matt and George?
It's the question that's been on the lips of Masterchef fans across the country and today Network 10 have revealed the three new judges for Masterchef 2020.
Jamie Oliver? Maggie Beer? Have Pete and Manu defected?
10 have gone with three relative unknowns for the judging positions.
Jock Zonfrillo, Melissa Leong and Andy Allen will replace George Calombaris, Gary Mehigan and Matt Preston for the show’s 12th season which will air next year.
Zonfrillo was "Australia’s Hottest Chef" in 2018, and has fronted shows before including Restaurant Revolution.
MasterChef fans might Remember Andy Allen who won season four of the show.
And Leong is an accomplished food and travel writer/broadcaster.
She said “It came as a huge surprise for me, and is, without a doubt the opportunity of a lifetime, I am really looking forward to getting stuck in.”
Although some old tweets have already come back to haunt her.
She wasn't the biggest masterchef fan!
She tweeted "What happens when you go on Masterchef & then open a restaurant? Apparantly not much. Back to 2nd hand car sales then..."
and retweeted "No David, the biggest mistake an amateur chef can make is going on #masterchef".
Earlier this year she also said on instagram “Let me put it on the record — I don’t want to be the next Matt Preston. I don’t want to be the next anyone, for that matter. I want to be the first ME.”
Seems a nice tasty paycheck has turned around her opinions on the show...
MasterChef: Back To Win will debut on WIN in 2020, with former contestants returning to the Masterchef kitchen to show us what they've got!
