A new multi-function centre at the Berri Cottage Homes has now been officially opened, with local member for Barker Tony Pasin on hand for the official ceremony.
Mr Pasin opened the centre on behalf of the Federal Government who, through the Building Better Regions Fund, provided $425,000 to the $1,001,790 project.
The project included a Large meeting, dining and entertainment area as well as a craft room plus many other areas.
Mr Pasin said the project will benefit older adults and retirees who are residents of the 86-unit complex plus families and friends, as well as the nearby Berri RSL Club.
