The Berri-Barmera council is set to embark on a major energy saving project.
Council will soon commence the upgraded of over 500 public street lights with LED technology to improve efficiency and lower energy consumption.
Council say the replacement of the majority of the public street lights to LED technology represent a saving of $1.2 million over 20 years.
The project is set to cost Council approximately $300,000, however will be offset by future savings in electricity charges.
