A local Federal MP has welcomed further support for locals diagnosed with lymphoedema.
Member or Barker TonyPasinsaid the Morrison Government has committed $2 million a year for lymphedema support at the National level.
The federal funding will be used to boost state and territory schemes to subsidise compression garments for lymphoedema, and contribute to establish a scheme in South Australia.
The support has been boosted by a state government investmnet with Federal MP Tony Pasin saying "It’s fantastic that the Marshall Government will also provide almost $2.5 million over the next two years".
Prior to the announcement SA had been the only state without subsidised therapeutic compression garments for lymphoedema patients.
