It’s the beginning of a new era for natural resources management in the region.
From the 1st of July this year, the newLandscapeSouth Australia Act replaced theNatural Resources Management Act of 2004as the framework for managing the state’s land, water,pest animals and plants, and biodiversity.
Locally, the SA Murray-Darling Basin Natural Resources Management Board has now been replaced by the Murraylands and RiverlandLandscapeBoard.
Landscape SA say the new structure will see A strong, back-to-basics system that’s autonomous and flexible in response to their regions’ needs.
