The state government has announced a significant boost in AG Tech innovation locally.
Yesterday, local member and Primary Industries minister Tim Whetstone announced a world-class business hub and demonstration farm in the Riverland, located in Loxton.
Minister Whetstone said “The agriculture industry is a cornerstone of South Australia’s economy and being able to establish an AgTech innovation hub in the Riverland will help foster new ideas to improve productivity and grow the sector,”
ThincLab Loxton, based at PIRSA’s Loxton Research Centre, will offer a place where entrepreneurs, business startups, existing companies, associations, and students can develop innovations and business models with a view to rapid acceleration to meet market needs.
