Some Riverland public housing properties are set to see upgrades fast tracked, forming part of a state government $10 million dollar maintenance blitz.
Across the state more than 1400 properties will receive upgrades including new lighting and security, paving, painting, gardens, as well as new kitchens and bathrooms.
The projects are envisaged to give a much needed boost to the economy as well as giving some public housing a much needed facelift.
Some of the major works including installing air conditioning and solar panels on 10 townhouses in Berri.
Minister for Human Services Michelle Lensink said the stimulus measure provides a welcome upgrade to hundreds of ageingHousingSA properties.
