Local Riverland and Mallee cafés and restaurants will soon be able to soon be able to serve alcohol and have limited diners inside, following an announcement yesterday.
From Friday eateries can welcome a maximum of 20 patrons - 10 indoors and 10 outdoors - and will be allowed to serve alcohol as well..
SA's Chief Public Health Officer Professor Nicola Spurrier says the restrictions are being eased ahead of schedule.
While the news is welcome for many, local licensed venues such as pubs and clubs are still unable to open for diners.
Berri Hotel Venue Manager Jeremy sweet said "he’s looking forward to next announcement on the 5th of June and what restrictions may ease between now and then"
Mr Sweet also said "he thought the next round of restrictions to be eased before the June long weekend was a good thing for the Riverland".
