Local Riverland & Mallee shows could benefit from grant funding to upgrade, maintain as well as buy or build new showground infrastructure and attractions thanks for a new grant program.
Local Member Tony Pasin is encouraging local shows to nominate, saying that “Agricultural shows are part of our national identity and are thriving hubs of local industry, commerce, culture and community.
Mr Pasin also said. “The government’s $20millionAgShowsinvestment will reinvigorate showgrounds, helping to boost regional communities, increase local employment and purchases from local businesses,”
Applications are open now and close 13 December 2019, with successful applicants expected to be announced in the first half of 2020.
