As a part of industrial action over 60 Riverland teachers took action yesterday afternoon demonstrating their frustration at the office of Local MP – Tim Whetstone.
Teachers from many local schools attended the Rally, the third of its type in the last 6 months with the local group delivering a letter for action to the office.
While the Treasurer did offer a pay increase to teachers of 2.35% local teachers say it’s more than the pay, as more is needed to support better classroom outcomes, as well as more time set aside for increasing admin tasks.
Meredith Farmer, local organiser of the demonstration and said they just want an outcome.
