The Riverland town of Cadell will celebrate 100 years this weekend, with events running over three days.

The historic River Murray town is named after one of the pioneers of the River Murray, Francis Cadell.

Events include the Cadell Primary School presenting a history day tomorrow, followed by a Centenary dinner at the Cadell Club and a ‘Black Powder’ event presented by the Cadell Pistol Club and Gala Dance at the Cadell Institute on Saturday.

Cadell Community and Tourist Association Chairman, Jason Lukacs said, they’re very excited to be holding this event and a lot of work gone into the preparations and they hope the events will bring many people back to the town to celebrate.
