A Renmark man accused of a drunken rampage in Bali says he had drank more than ten bottles of vodka before allegedly ambushing a local in his home and attacking motorists.
Nicholas Carr, 26, is being held at Kuta Police Station after being caught on camera during the attacks.
Mr Carr agreed he would compensate the victims.
Police chief Teuku said on Monday the case against Carr would continue "even if he and all the victims reach a settlement".
Police have appealed to tourists to not consume alcohol excessively while holidaying in Bali.
