Barmera’s main street fountain is soon to be working again, following the purchase of a new structure.
The Barmera Improvement committee recently purchased the 3 tier structure to be installed in Barmera’s Barwell avenue roundabout.
Councils plans to redevelop the fountain were put on hold in 2018, due to the proposed cost of the upgrade.
Dave Waterman from the Barmera Improvement committee said they’ve put a lot of time and effort into the town and the fountain will be the icing on the cake.
The upgrade is expected to cost $4500 plus installation.
