A 28 year old man from Elizabeth south is set to face court following being caught speeding last week.
Friday afternoon police detected the car travelling at 123KPH in a 110KP/H zone near Blancehtown on the Sturt highway.
It didn’t stop their either, with further checks revealing the driver was suspended from driving and was driving an unregistered, uninsured and defected car.
The man was arrested and bailed to attend Berri Magistrates Court in August.
Also in police news, local police have netted two drug drivers.
Saturday afternoon a 22 year old man from Barmera was stopped on Jury Road in Berri and returned a positive reading for methamphetamine following a driver screening test.
Then at 9pm Saturday night police stopped a vehicle on Sturt Highway, Lyrup. The driver a 29-year-old man from Victor Harbor submitted to a driver screening test and recorded a positive reading for methamphetamine.
Both drivers were handed driver direction notices not to drive for 24 hours, and may be subject to further penalties subject to further forensic testing.
