Parents of children at some Riverland schools may be able to have their child stay at their current school for year 7, as the state prepares to shift the year level to high schools.
Year 7 will be taught in all public high schools from term 1, 2022 and will bring SA into line with the nation.
Families may be able to have their children in primary school for year 7 if their primary school is located more than 20 kilometres by road from its nearest area or high school.
Based on this schools that could be eligible locally include Moorook & Kingston Primary as well Blanchetown, Cadell, and Morgan primary schools.
The option would be open until 2024.
