While the result of the federal election has been known for some time the declaration for the local seat of barker took place this week.
The declaration yesterday saw the final tally seeing current sitting member Tony Pasin from the Liberal party absorb a 12.35% swing, picking up 69%.1 of the overall vote.
In a brief social media post, Mr Pasin thanked AEC staff and volunteers for their hard work and many long hours over the last few weeks.
Of the 118,398 Eligible Electors for the local seat 111,892 Barker Residents voted, with 5.56% deemed informal.
Other facts picked up in the delectation was the Australian united party picking up 5.92% of the vote with the greens enjoying a 3.23% swing towards the party.
