HEALTH VOLUNTEERS THANKED

Up to 1,600 volunteers across regional South Australia are being thanked during National Volunteer Week for their hard work and ongoing support of country health services.

Country Health SA (CHSA) Interim Chief Executive Officer, Rebecca Graham, said she is grateful for the commitment of volunteers who continuously give up their time to assist at hospitals, community health sites and aged care across the state.

The Riverland Mallee Coorong region, which includes Berri and Murray Bridge, has over 300 volunteers CHSA Project Lead Volunteers, Andrew Lambeth, said volunteers come from many walks of life and there are up to 1,600 people, young and old, volunteering as part of locally-run programs.
