SOLAR ON HOLD - BBC

BBC

The Berri-Barmera Council is set to remove its 10 megawatt $25 million dollar solar facility from budget deliberations for now, putting the project on hold for now.

Acting council CEO Karyn Burton told the Murray Pioneer "changes to the market and requirements from SA power networks had contributed to the decision."

In 2017 council was successful in obtaining a grant of just over 5 million dollars for the project under the state local government infrastructure partnership.

As late as last year independent modelling was conducted and confirmed the projects viability.
