RIVER LEVELS LIKELY THE SAME FOR EASTER

River Murray

Those camping near, or using the River Murray this Easter are reminded thatriverheights andflows are likely to remain near the levels experienced in the past couple of weeks.

MDBA Andrew Reynolds Executive Director ofRiverManagement said the releases of water into the MurrayRiverwere meeting demand for water throughout the system.

Mr Reynolds also said “Although Easter is not in peak irrigation season this year, the ongoing dry conditions mean that water license holders are continuing to order their water, which has the effect of maintainingriverlevels,”

The authority also pointed out regardless of the weather, the important thing to remember is that therivermight not be the same as the last time you visited.
