9 A SIDE FOOTBALL TOMORROW

FOOTBALL

Tomorrow the Riverland will see the first formalized AFL 9’s competition with all 8 Riverland independent football clubs taking part.

The modified game of Australian Rules football sees face paced action on a rectangle field.

Event organizers are pleased with the interest that’s been generated with the initial competition and plans to expand the competition are already in the concept stage.

There’s a bit to play for as well with the Berri Bakehouse putting up a prize of $1000 for the winning team.

It takes place tomorrow at the Lyrup oval and anyone wishing to check it out will be pleased to know its free entry.
