Police have detected six drug drivers in the region over the weekend.
On Friday, a 60 year old woman was stopped driving on Kay Avenue, Berri allegedly returned a positive result for methyl amphetamine, as did A 19-year-old Renmark man
driving on Coombe Terrace.
On Saturday, a further positive result for the drug was detected in a 58-year-old man from Loxton North driving in Barmera, and a 28 year old man stopped in Waikerie
tested positive for cannabis.
On Sunday, A 36 year old Berri man was stopped and allegedly returned a positive result for methyl amphetamine, and on Murray Avenue Renmark, a 37 year old man from
Paringa tested positive for the drug.
All drivers were issued driver direction notices not to drive and the samples will be sent for further analysis.
A man was also stopped on Matthews St Waikerie on Friday, producing an alleged blood alcohol reading of 0.061.
