Riverland citrus exports could be beneficiaries of the latest trade teal signed between Australia and Indonesia.
Tony Pasin, Member for Barker has welcomed the trade agreement between two countries saying producers in the Riverland and Baker could benefit.
Mr Pasin said “Thisagreement will open up new pathways and make Australian businesses more competitive within the Indonesian market and with other trading partners in the region,”
Citrus exports will see a progressive tariff elimination for mandarins as well as duty-free access for oranges, lemons.
In addition to the tariff reductions the deal includes guaranteed automatic issue of import permits for certain products.
