Royal life saving

Royal lifesaving Australia is reminding Riverlanders to play it safe near water this upcoming summer.

This week the organisation released the national drowning report which despite shows improvement but there’s still more that can be done.

The Royal Life Saving National Drowning Report shows that across Australia 249 drowning deaths from July 1 2017 to June the 30th 2018 a 14% decrease on the year previous.

Stacey Pidgeon fromRoyalLifeSaving says there are a few simple things we do to reduce the risk of drowning including keeping an eye on children around water and wearing a life jacket when boating.
