This weekend, the 2017 Motor Accident Commission (MAC) Road Safety Round kicks off and will drive home the important of road safety amongst country football clubs throughout the state
Round 11 of the RFL will see Berri play Loxton North at the RFL headquarters, Loxton will take on Renmark, the Tigers hoping to keep their chance at seeing a finals game, and Waikerie will host the Barmera Monash Roos.
MAC and SANFL Community are providing a medal for presentation to one player of each A-Grade match over theMAC Road Safety Round. The medal is to be awarded to the player whose impact, based on the decisions they make, and positively affects the match outcome – not necessarily the player judged to be the best on ground.
This year’s round, an initiative of the MAC in partnership with SANFL Community Football, comes at a crucial time following the death of two young country footballers on our roads in the past week.
