Regional Metropolitan Fire Service firefighters have begun their annual station audit and proficiency assessments.
Awards will be presented to five MFS Regional stations at the completion of this process including; The Chief Officer’s Shield, Regional Command Shield, Regional Assistant Chief Officer’s Shield, Most Improved Shield and the Family Friendly Regional Station Award.
MFS Acting Assistant Chief Fire Officer of Regional Operations, Phil Kilsby, said the annual station audit and proficiency assessments ensure operational readiness of crews who review their response and actions in a series of controlled exercises. MrKilsby and various other Assistant Chief Fire Officers will be assessing Renmark, Berri and Loxton Stations during September.
Last year theBerri MFS Stationreceived the Regional Command Shieldfor its proficiency assessment results.
