A 53 year old man is in custody after the discovery of two bodies at a Millicent property, southeast of Adelaide, earlier in the week.

Just after 10am on Monday police attended the home and found two people dead inside - a mother and daughter, aged 84 and 63 respectively, and thought to have been there since Thursday last week.

The accused man was taken to the Berri police station and police say he is believed to be known to the victims. He was charged with two counts of murder and faced the Berri Magistrates court yesterday.
