Serious Drug Bust in The Riverland

A man and a woman from the Riverland region appeared in the Berri Magistrates Court last week after being charged with serious drug offences.

The 41-year-old man and 48-year-old woman were charged with two counts of trafficking a controlled drug, and single counts of trafficking a commercial quantity of a controlled drug, cultivating cannabis and possession of a prescription drug. The pair were arrested after police executed a search warrant at an address in the Riverland last Thursday 11th May.

Around 60g of amphetamines, 70 g of liquid fantasy (also known as GHB), 4kg of cannabis, three cannabis plants and a quantity of medication for which there was no appropriate prescription was found in the property. The accused were refused police bail and will appear in court today.
