Bowel cancer screening tests have dropped across the Riverland, raising concern for many health professionals.

The latest stats saw the Riverland & Mallee having a screening rate of 46.7%, down from the two years previous that had a rate of 48.6%.

There's now a push to see these rates climb, with the cancer council again urging locals aged 50-74 to ‘Get2it’ and do their quick, easy bowel screening test as soon as it comes in the mail.
