ANOTHER DAY OF RAIN FOR THE RIVERLAND

WAIK OVAL WATER

We’re once again being told we will see some rain around the Riverland today.

Yesterday rainfall was recorded in several Riverland areas with official BOM weather stations at Loxton recording 15.8mm and Renmark  11.8mm.

Local reports from Loxton North & Waikerie indicated rainfall of over 30mm yesterday.

The recent rain, combined with the already damp soil saw the Waikerie oval resemble a lake, far from premiership conditions.

A flood watch warning is still in place for the Flinders Ranges, southern parts of the North East Pastoral districts and adjacent parts of the Riverland.

The flood watch however is not expected to see river levels in the River Murray rise significantly.
