BORDERS TO OPEN NEXT MONTH

SA COVID PLAN

Travel between the Riverland and Mildura will be possible again next month following SA State Government border announcements yesterday.

Yesterday the call was made that SA’s border restrictions would be lifted for double vaccinated travellers on the 23rd of November, with SA predicted to reach an 80% vaccination rate prior.

For some time the Riverland & Mallee has been cut off from Victoria, causing issues for many especially those involved in agricultural operations at Lindsay Point, just over the border in Victoria.

The Victorian town of Murrayville less that 30km over the border has also faced significant issues and were forced to withdraw from SA based sporting competitions due to ongoing COVID issues both sides of the border.

While state borders will open in November, its unlikely current restrictions in SA will be eased until a 90% vaccination rate is reached.
