The SA Road Transport Association(SARTA) has responded to reports of Truck Drivers being turned away at Covid-19 testing and vaccination sites as “outrageous and unacceptable”.

The association says they have had 15 reports of Drivers being told to leave centres because they couldn’t provide evidence of being tested in the past 72 hours.

Currently truckies entering SA from NSW/VIC or the ACT must provide evidence of a negative test in the past three days or a proof of a test in the last 12 hours.

It’s understood SA Health will soon set up a pop-up vaccine clinic at the Yamba testing site.
