A local MP has welcomed the news that regional workers & businesses will be supported through the lockdown via state government payments.
The package announced yesterday provides $3000 for eligible businesses who employee staff as well as payments of $1000 for sole traders.
Fully-funded income support payments of up to $600 per week also on offer for eligible workers in regional SA for those who live or work outside of the Commonwealth-declared ‘Hotspot’ local government areas
Member for Chaffey Tim Whetstone said “The grants are about supporting those businesses and traders, who through no fault of their own, are going to face financial stress.”
