With the current lockdown in South Australia, Riverland Football has made the early call to shift the season back one week – subject to ongoing restrictions.
The change will see this weeks scheduled games now play next Saturday* therefor shifting the grand final back one week to take place on the 18th of September*.
Riverland football has only 5 rounds to play plus finals, and so far this year had managed to escape any covid forced stoppages.
A Riverland football spokesperson said they are hopeful all scheduled games can play however they still have some weekends up their sleeve should it be required.
It’s unclear what other local sports may do going forward.
