Former Riverland resident Alexander Hill has been officially named in a 38-strong Australian Rowing team for the Tokyo Olympics.

The Tokyo games will be Hill’s second, after claiming silver in Rio as a part of the men’s 4’s team.

Speaking at the Weekend, Hill said “The last 12 months has taught the team to be resilient and we have worked hard to ensure they are the best we can be leading into Tokyo Olympic Games"

Earlier this year a significant section of the men’s rowing team trained in the Riverland, with many hi-ranking rowing officials rating the Riverland very highly for training.
