Solid crowds were again in attendance at local Riverland Football on Saturday, a round that saw the cream of the competition rise to the top.
The Loxton Tigers proved their doubters wrong with a victory over Riverland footy powerhouse Waikerie,
Despite a strong start from Waikerie, home side Loxton continued their strong form winning 13.7-85 to Waikerie 9.10-64.
The battle at Berri was tight between the Berri Demons and the Loxton North Panthers with the home side only sealing the game late in the final quarter, Berri 11.6.72 to a wayward kicking Loxton North 7.11-53.
The final game saw Renmark bounce back with a comprehensive win at the lakeside, Renmark 18.18-127 to Barmera-Monash 2.3-15.
The ladder now sees Loxton on top, followed by Renmark, Waikerie & Berri making up the top 4. Loxton North & Barmera-Monash make up the bottom two spots.
Independent footy round 2 saw Ramco,Paringa & Wunkar record victory’s.
