Local Tourism operators may soon see a boost in Bookings from New Zealand travelers, following the news this week of the NZ-Aus travel bubble.
In 2019 NZ travellers made up 17% of international visitors to the Riverland, with anecdotal evidence suggesting houseboating is popular with travelers from the land of the long white cloud.
Local Member for Chaffey Tim Whetstone made comment saying “It’s a win for our tourism operators, our hospitality sector and local jobs.”
Quarantine free travel between NZ & Australia commences later this month.
