The local electorate of Barker will share in nearly $6.5 million in federal government small farms smart grants funding.
While the funding is rolling out over several projects across the electorate, local Group Mallee Sustainable Farming picked up nearly $100,000 for a High impact digital extension of research and development project.
Member for Barker, Tony Pasin, said he was excited by the great ideas put forward by the successful local applicants under Smart Farms Small Grants.
Mr Pasin added "This investment encourages clever ideas and goes directly to the grass roots, empowering locals to deliver benefits for their communities and natural resources,”
