Riverland Police have been left disappointed again, following a driver’s blatant disregard for the law and safety of road users.
At around 9.40PM Saturday Police stopped a 28-year-old female driver on the Sturt Highway between Blanchetown and Truro.
The driver was breath tested and returned a reading of .197, adding to the driver’s dilemma was she was the holder of a provisional licence, meaning no amount of alcohol is permitted.
She was handed an instant 12 month loss of licence, reported for drink driving, as well as contravening her provisional licence conditions.
It’s expected she will appear court at a later date.
