Damage to a part of Loxton’s relatively new wharf has promoted a council review.
In a report presented to council last week, elected members were informed of damage that’s occurred to the floating pontoon that was only completed one year ago.
The damage has prompted signage to be installed instructing houseboats not to moor at the pontoon, with the structure only designed to smaller vessels.
An area only 50 meters away from the pontoon has been allocated to houseboat mooring.
Council is now set to investigate further options for the pontoon.
