Locals who utilise the PATS or Patient Assistance Transport Scheme now have better support and quicker access through a new website for the service.
Minister for Health and Wellbeing Stephen Wade said the new PATS website is part of the State Government’s commitment to making the scheme more flexible and accessible for regional patients travelling for specialist medical treatment.
Local Member for Chaffey Tim Whetstone said PATS is a vital support service to the Riverland, and the Government are streamlining the process for country patients to access financial assistance,
Mr Whetstone added “These changes will improve the patient experience and strengthen the support available through PATS, as well as providing more information for residents who need to travel for medical treatment”
