It’s the start of a very different six days for the Riverland and Mallee as we lockdown with the rest of the South Australia.

Today, local schools, pubs & clubs and cafes as well as takeaway food venues will not open.

Regional travel is also not permitted as well as all weddings, funerals and outdoor exercise is also off for the next 6 days.

Premier Steven Marshall says the sooner we get on top of the spread, the sooner restrictions can lift.

Importantly for the Riverland and Mallee, Primary Production is allowed to continue, with the sector deemed essential as well as a permitted reason to travel.

A full list of essential worker eligibility and reasons to leave home can be found via the SA Police website.
