A new short-term accommodation service will open its doors in Waikerie
The new 5-bedroom accessible home is designed for people with disabilities
who require short term accommodation and for families who require respite.
The home has been acquired by Lifestyle Assistance and Accommodation
Service, or LAAS, through Anglicare in the Riverland.
Chief Operating Officer of LAAS, Sue Crispe, said the accommodation service is wonderful for people living with disabilities in the Riverland and came about as a result of enquiries from locals in need of the service.
The 5-bedroom accessible home at 11 West Road Waikerie will be open and
available for inspection by the local community today (Thursday 22 October) between 1pm and 3pm.
LAAS has over 30 years’ experience in supporting people with intellectual and physical disabilities in the Riverland and Mallee regions.
