Wine industry to assemble

A number of wine industry officials are expected to attend an industry ‘Town Hall’ style meeting later this month in Barmera.  

The local wine sector is currently facing a number of challenges, with prices under production cost for many red wine varieties.

Riverland Wine’s Charles Matheson outlined while long term thinking is needed, they understand action needs to be taken now.

“Politicians are willing to listen, however need a concise list of requests drawn up for solutions’ Said Matheson  

Riverland wine are now calling for the broader community to attend the meeting, so they can work together to then take industry requests to the Minister.  

The meeting is set to be held at the Barmera Club, Wednesday the 21st of February.
