As the Riverland wine grape harvest ramps up, local councils are calling for drivers to take the relevant precautions and report any grape spills. As spills can lead to slippery & dangerous road conditions.
Both the Loxton-Waikerie & Berri-Barmera Councils have outlined spills on main roads need to be reported to the Department of Infrastructure and Transport, while spills on local roads can be reported to councils.
Members of the public who witness grape spills are also being asked report the matter to Police assistance.
