Riverland Baseball royalty Luke Prokopek has been inducted into the South Australian Baseball Hall of Fame.
After playing juniors for the Renmark Angles in the early 90s, Luke then made his way to play Major League Baseball for both LA Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays.
In three seasons Luke recorded over 140 strikeouts, however sadly then faced an early retirement due to injury.
Riverland baseball icon Kym Bament was also celebrated for his tireless contribution to the sport and was also inducted.
Baments contribution list is lengthy, which includes many stints on the committee as well as publicity officer for many years.
